Saint Patrick's Day 17 March 2026 I am a week in Ireland. This week I am part of a group helping a church I have been before. About being perfect: love and humilty 25 January 2026 On 24 December I wrote a sermon about love and humilty. I was the speaker in church at 25 January. On the streets again 1 November 2025 Today I am with others at the same place in Germany I was this summer to share about the love of God for people. Back from serving 17 August 2025 After my travels this summer I did two sermons back in The Netherlands. One was on 10 August and the other one a week later. It gives me joy that I can share from my experiences. The last sermon in Dutch on YouTube can be found here. On the streets 18 July 2025 This week I am serving on the streets in Germany. A Christian song there reminded my of the poem with which I ended my last sermon called: nearby. Traffic jam 29 May 2025 I was in a bus on my way to a big Christian conference. But there was a huge traffic jam. To be faster on the conference site I had my foldable kick scooter with me. At some point I could get out of the bus. The last one or two miles I rode my kick scooter. That was faster than being stuck in traffic. To Ireland 12 March 2025 Today I travel to be a week in Ireland. There will be activities around Saint Patrick's Day. I hope to be a blessing there. Blessed weekend 26 January 2025 On Friday evening and Saturday I had a blessed weekend serving with other Christians in the Netherlands. This Sunday evening I am preparing my first sermon for this year. It is about perseverance. The sermon in Dutch on YouTube can be found here. Again to Berlin 31 October 2024 This is my fourth time this year going some days to Berlin. I hope I will have a blessed time serving there. On my way back 1 September 2024 In August I prepared the sermon of today in the bus coming back from south Germany. I served there a week at an international youth camp. Busy month May 3 June 2024 In May I helped some days at a youth camp, served as an actor at a Christian conference and yesterday I came home after spending some days on an outreach in Germany. Certificate in Ireland 18 March 2024 I am a week in Ireland. Earlier this year I took a course on preaching. While serving in Ireland I got an e-mail with the certificate. Return from the UK 5 December 2023 I spend a week in the UK. I served in one of the bigger cities there. Return from Ireland and Germany 5 August 2023 I was a few weeks in Ireland and after that I was a week in Germany. I am a bit exhausted after speaking, praying and sharing with so many. I am grateful for the work I could do. Two weekends away 1 June 2023 I helped the last days of April at a youth camp and the last days of May at a big Christian conference. It was both some days and three nights. I was encouraged by serving and the conversations I had. In Ireland again 16 March 2023 Tomorrow is Saint Patrick's Day. In 2020 I left Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day. But now the pandemic is over. It is great to be in Ireland again! Day off in Germany 30 November 2022 This week I am helping in a town in Northern Germany. This Wednesday is a day off. I spent some time in the city centre. Return flight 9 July 2022 I was a short time in Ireland. I had some trouble on my journey to Ireland six days ago. But the return flight went very well. I was sooner back than expected and got my bagage. Next month I hope to be a blessing at a youth conference in the Netherlands. Very tired 7 June 2022 Yesterday evening I came back from a very big Christian conference where I served as an actor. I am still a bit exhausted. Today I got stuck in trafic (sheep). It does give me time to slow down and not hurry too much. Something new 8 May 2022 I moved to another apartment in town. Last Monday I handed over the keys of the apartment where I lived. The same day I went to serve at a Christian camp. By coincidence the theme of the camp is that God makes things new. Infected with covid 11 January 2022 The year 2022 began for me with vaccination and being infected with covid. I had mild symptoms. Today after more than a week of quarantine I tested myself twice. It was negative, no covid detected anymore! Return from Ireland 13 December 2021 I am grateful that I came back safely to the Netherlands. I had a great experience helping a bit more than a week in Ireland with two outdoor activities. It is great to share about Christmas and bring hope to the people. Going south 24 October 2021 This year I am also visiting the south of the Netherlands. I took the picture in the forest today. Who knows what life will bring and if I will serve here some time in the future? International travel again 15 September 2021 This evening I am eating at the same restaurant in Ireland where I was eating on 15 March 2020. That was at the beginning of the pandemic and lockdowns in Europe. I feel much better now than at that time! I am happy to be here again. Serving again 09 August 2021 I am home after serving at a Christian summercamp. I had an awesome time serving again! This is the first time serving as a volunteer since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking back on 2020 29 December 2020 I am grateful for the opportunities to speak live on a local Christian radio station. It was in Dutch, there is a link to a Dutch page on my blog here. Thoughts during corona crisis 02 August 2020 In these times of restrictions there are no puppet shows, no street evangelism and no big church services. During walks outside I like to take pictures and use them with Bible verses. In these times we can of course still experience joy! On the radio 3 April 2020 Today I had the honour to speak live some words on a local Christian radio station here in the Netherlands. My late father spoke there years ago. I used to go with him when I was a young teenager. This morning many years later I shared some words from Psalm 91 and Lamentations 3. Saint Patrick's Day 17 March 2020 I am on a flight to Amsterdam leaving Ireland early because of the things happening due to the corona virus outbreak. I am sad because of all the problems in these times. Especially on this day I wish Ireland and the Irish people the best. God loves you and so do I.
